NoiseAir recently carried out an investigative noise impact assessment at a railway siding in Small Heath, Birmingham. On site, clam shell buckets are used to unload large quantities of aggregate from wagons on a regular basis. Concerns had been raised that the noise levels were potentially causing an adverse impact on nearby residents, particularly when trains are arriving later into the evening.
A BS4142 noise assessment was requested by the client to investigate the noise levels and identify any noise sensitive receptors in the vicinity of the site. NoiseAir will work with the client to provide the most cost-effective mitigation options where appropriate.
