Industrial noise surveys for planning applications
If you are applying for planning permission for a new industrial or commercial development, or installing new plant or machinery at your existing site, the local authority may request a noise assessment.
Industrial noise has the potential to cause adverse impacts on the local residents, businesses and the environment, and measures must be taken to ensure that noise does not exceed the required limits.
Our consultants have extensive experience in industrial noise. Our assessments are carried out in accordance with BS4142:2014 Methods for Rating and Assessing Industrial and Commercial Sound, as recommended by local authorities.
We have developed longstanding working relationships with Environmental Health Officer and Planning Departments and are happy to liaise with them on your behalf to address any potential noise issues at an early stage.
We are able to recommend a number of acoustic solutions to mitigate the impact of noise, if required.
We aim to give your application the best chance of approval, first time.
