NoiseAir and partners have recently installed a new diagnostic audiology room and refurbished old audiology rooms at the James Paget Hospital. The new diagnostic audiology room now occupies the old bank room which is next door to the Audiology Department.

The new room and the refurbished rooms all have new wall coverings, acoustic doors, and specialist quiet air-conditioning systems so that minimum noise levels are achieved for hearing tests.
The main corridor outside of the new audiology room is busy in pedestrian traffic and therefore in order to maintain low noise levels the acoustic room has employed the new double skinned Gemini acoustic door sets which are heavy in their construction employing excellent acoustic properties but can be simply closed with a gentle push.
Jeanette Powell (Head of Audiology) at James Paget Hospital says... ” The difference in the refurb is quite remarkable. We are still enjoying every minute of using all the rooms and getting some lovely comments from patients too. Not having to lift wheelchairs up and over ramps and steps has made a world of difference; we are almost getting out of the habit of asking patients to “mind the step”!
Your team have been a pleasure to work with and everyone worked hard to make what could have been a very difficult time much easier, which is much appreciated.”
